The Thornton Easement: Rimrock Ranch and Forest
40 acres adjacent to Palisades Park west of Spokane
Dedicated December 2002

The Thornton Easement: Rimrock Ranch

“I have always loved this place.” --Craig Volosing

The easement provides excellent habitat for many wildlife species, including big game and numerous birds. Long-time tenant Craig Volosing and Karen Stevenson purchased the land shortly after owner John Thornton placed the conservation easement on the property. Volosing and Stevenson will continue to practice sustainable ranching and forestry on the property while preserving its seasonal wetlands and open space.
